Abstract:
This article aims to determine the performance and service quality of government
officials in Sumberarum village, Songgon sub-district, Banyuwangi district. The
quality of service in Sumberarum Village in preparing information and materials
needed by the public interest is still not optimal. Issues that are less than optimal in
administrative services are the slow processing of paperwork relating to the local
community. The performance of village government apparatus and also the quality of
existing services in the implementation of services is the main key in this research.
Many Sumberarum office employees do not provide good information resulting in a
lack of sources of access to information and communication, a lack of discipline
among village office employees which results in less than optimal population
services. The function of the village government apparatus is in providing services to
the community, so the apparatus must have the tasks of being able to improve
people's welfare, protect peace, and also order in the community and then be able to
carry out the principles of governance in a village government that is clean and free
from collusion and also nepotism and carry out good and correct government
administration in accordance with their duties.
